Frequently Asked Questions About Our Dinner Train
Our trains run in all weather. However, if due to severe weather conditions we need to cancel, we will notify you immediately.
There are no refunds. We will try to accommodate a reschedule with a 10-day advance notice. The rescheduled trip needs to be in the same calendar year.
Passengers should arrive 30 minutes before their trip. Trains will be ready for boarding at that time. Unfortunately, due to schedule constraints, we cannot hold trains for late passengers.
We do not allow pets or comfort animals on the train unless it is a seeing-eye or service dog/miniature horse.
We have limited bathroom facilities available in each car. Portsmouth Junction does not have any bathrooms. We are working to provide more bathroom facilities at our station areas in the near future.
Public parking is located at both of our stations. See the directions page for details. You may drop-off and pick up in our lot in Newport. At the Newport Station, we ask you to keep the limited spaces near the canopy open for handicapped or elderly or people who need assistance.
No smoking is allowed on the train or in the station area.
No, we have both food and drink available for purchase on all of our trains. Certain trains (Breakfast with Santa) do not sell alcohol, as they are family-friendly environments.
Our trains are reservation only. Tickets may be purchased online or reserved by calling our office at (401) 295-1203.
Groups looking to make reservations for any of our trains are asked to call the office so we may block off the appropriate number of seats.
Unfortunately, we are not. Due to the narrow vestibules and door openings on our historic passenger cars, we are not able to accommodate wheelchairs. Passengers must also use stairs to board the train.

We request information from you on our order form. To purchase tickets, you must provide contact information (like name and address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill your order. If we have trouble processing an order, we’ll use this information to contact you.
